Answer: a post-construction cleaning job is basically just that, the cleaning required after a construction project is complete, or almost complete. Both residential and commercial properties apply but typically most post-construction cleaning services are for various commercial properties. In addition, the type of construction, that is, a remodel/rehab, addition or new construction is fairly irrelevant for cleaning purposes.

Post-construction cleaning is different from typical residential and commercial cleaning in that usually the entire space requires a thorough cleaning, including floors, walls, fixtures, windows, desks, kitchens, hallways, lobbies, and so on.

Post-construction Cleaning customers typically operate under "time is money" pressures, including:

When built a house will be new, but it will not be clean.

We builders cannot expect someone to pay us a lot of money for a new house that needs cleaning.

We want them to be able to move in with their belongings and relax, we do not expect them to get out the hoover, a mop and a selection of cleaning products.

We therefore employ people to make sure that the new house is spotless.

(a small bonus is that the cleaners may notice small marks in the paint etc, missed and which we can rectify before the new owners notice).

You would not expect to buy a new car that had not been valeted by the dealer, a house should not be any different.
